Celebrating its 40th year anniversary, The Prism Symphony Youth Orchestra (formerly the D. Jerlene Harding/NANM Youth Symphony Orchestra) will be performing during the 96th annual convention for The National Association of Negro Musicians. In recognition of the diversity of instrumentalists in the classical setting, young adults ages 15-21 are encouraged to apply. Get the chance to meet other musicians from around the country and Washington D.C. region, enjoy workshops from conservatory trained musicians, and create lifelong friendships while learning new music. This orchestra will be conducted by David Robinson, founder of the Sinfo-Nia Orchestra of Metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. A mandatory $25 application fee is due June 19, 2015.
